Forsgate Country Club is searching for an enthusiastic, experienced and professional Banquet Captain for our Banquets department. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of banquet events, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This is a key leadership role within our hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise service staff, bartenders, housemen
• Ensure quality of service and food.
• Works directly with the host of each event and ensures expectations are met.
• Ensures adequate communication between kitchen and service staff.
• Does job assignments for servers and assures assignments are executed, i.e., china, glass, silver, salt, pepper, etc.
• Ensures that all “special requirements” on Banquet Event Orders are executed, i.e., head table, microphones, etc.
• Ensures that all function room set-ups are as indicated on floor plan diagrams
• Prepares station diagram for service staff and executes
• Does food and equipment requisitions
• Meets with service staff prior to function to explain menu, food service, wine service, etc.
• Coordinates with kitchen and service staff timing of service
• Ensures dress code standards for the department are being met by all servers, bartenders, housemen
• Ensures that all department standards are being met, i.e., dress codes, service standards, clearing standards, set-up and break-down, etc.
• Prepares and issues bill to client
• Assist with training of all service staff, bartenders, housemen.

Qualification:

• Must be experienced banquet server and worked in a similar environment.

Forsgate Country Club, founded in 1931, is an exclusive, full-service, 36-hole golf facility that is a family-owned private club. Forsgate offers golf, fitness and social activities in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
